I get this question quite often, so I thought I would post it here in the blog.

Hello Marcus.. just a quick question… i’m going through your course and it says that “verlo” is … See Him… i’ve also heard that “verlo” is… See IT.. is this do to a different dialect of Spanish? or are both correct?

Here is my answer:

Both are correct.

However, verlo is only correct as “it” if you “it” is something masculine.

¿Puedes ver el coche?
Can you see the car?
Si, puedo verlo.
Yes I can see it.

¿Puedes ver la casa?
Can you see the house?
